The President is expected to announce today new quarantine protocols which will take effect on July 1. COVID19Quarantine READ:

MANILA-- President Rodrigo Duterte will announce on Tuesday, June 30, new community quarantine protocols beginning July 1, Malacañang said Monday.

“I’ll let you know but if I’m not mistaken, it will be tomorrow,” Duterte’s spokesperson Harry Roque said when asked during a Palace briefing about the President's announcement. The entire country is expected to remain under varying levels of community quarantine after the government's pandemic task force removed the "new normal" from the classifications.

It was only this month that the government largely eased lockdowns across the country to revive its economy bruised by the pandemic. At present, only Cebu City is under the strictest enhanced community quarantine or ECQ, while Talisay City, also in Cebu province, is under modified ECQ.As of June 28, the Philippines has confirmed 35,455 COVID-19 cases, with 1,244 deaths and 9,686 recoveries.
