Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday, Jan. 26, welcomed President Duterte’s plan to reveal who among the leading presidential aspirants are corrupt and unqualified for the country’s highest post because if true, the information will help the people assess who to vote for in the upcoming May elections.
Robredo went to Lamitan, Basilan for the turnover of the Angat Buhay Weaving Center to the local government unit and the Yakan Weavers of Brgy. Buahan. He mentioned that one candidate “really cannot be a president” while another can be elected but is “too corrupt.” The Vice President emphasized the need for accountability in the “age of disinformation” because of anonymous profiles on social media.
