Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na nagdesisyon ang pangulo na umuwi nang mas maaga dahil sa nararamdamang sakit sa spinal column at pelvic bone.Nagtamo ng galos sa siko at tuhod ang pangulo, at bahagyang sumakit ang kaniyang balakang kasunod ng aksidente.Tiniyak naman ni Panelo na walang dapat ikabahala ang publiko sa kalusugan ng pangulo, lalo at binigyang prayoridad nito ang health condition nito para matiyak na makapaglilingkod ito sa gobyerno.
