So as not to burden the government’s war chest against COVID-19, the Department of Social Welfare and Development said on Wednesday, June 10 that all unspent Social Amelioration Program funds downloaded to the local government units , and all returned emergency cash subsidies will all be used for the second wave of cash subsidies.
Bautista said the regions where the subsidies were returned can use such amount for the second tranche. The agency noted that eight beneficiaries directly returned their subsidy to the DSWD Central Office.
