The DSWD said it forged a partnership with the e-wallet application in an effort “to improve its delivery of public service.”
In a virtual press briefing last Tuesday, DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista said the agency, through its AICS, has given P618 million in financial aid to 135,154 clients with COVID-19 related concerns, including 6,728 stranded individuals. “Beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program may choose to receive their cash aid through their respective PayMaya accounts,” it said.
