Two temporary bridges in Ilocos Sur were recently converted into concrete bridges for better movement of agricultural products to upland municipalities in the province, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Friday.

Replacement works of the 30-linear meter Baang Bridge in Barangay Cabaroan and 20-linear meter Tiagan Bridge in Barangay Tiagan both in the municipality of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur were recently completed.

“With these permanent and sturdier bridges, we can expect faster delivery of goods and services that will help boost the economy as well as provide more livelihood opportunities for the locals in the area,” Villar said.
