According to his brother, Darwin was not entirely clueless about what more senior cadets could do to him to “discipline” him as their father briefed him about the practice. “That’s the sad thing. My brother really wanted to serve the country. Sad part is, he died at the hand of his comrades,” he said. “The traditions inside the academy, they don’t help at all in molding the cadets in the academy.”
