THE Department of Justice-Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking is expected to launch a massive campaign in 2022 against sexual predators targeting children on line.

Villar added that the DOJ-IACAT also expects the amendments of existing laws on child abuse and exploitation would be enacted into law by next year. The DOJ-IACAT said the measure will also provide additional tools for law enforcers to pursue perpetrators of OSEC, particularly those who are anonymous on various online platforms.

“The amendments will strengthen the policies on anti-trafficking in persons, specifically including the engagement of others for the production of child sexual abuse and exploitation materials in the acts considered as trafficking in persons,” Aglipay said.
