On Aug. 11, the DoH released an advisory warning the public of fake contact tracers. In the advisory, the DoH reminded the public that the department does not have a contact tracing team.
“It has to be understood by the public…If everybody remembers, at the start…it was DoH going down and doing the contact tracing,” she said. Vergeire noted that the Department of Interior and Local Government has been assigned to head the contact tracing efforts for the government.
