'We have already located another five, so we are just trying to locate two of these travelers,' said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire in a Viber message.

THE Department of Health confirmed on Friday that it has located five more travelers from South Africa who have been tagged as 'missing' after they were not traced using the information they have provided upon their arrival to the Philippines.'We have already located another five, so we are just trying to locate two of these travelers,' said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire in a Viber message.

DoH is on the lookout for the possible entry of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 through inbound travelers.Earlier this week, Dr. Roberto Salvadro, Bureau of Quarantine deputy director, emphasized the Philippine National Police and the respective local government units were exerting maximum efforts in tracing these unlocated passengers to ensure that they do not exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 during their mandatory quarantine.
