DOH inulan ng batikos dahil sa mga sita ng COA sa paggasta sa pandemic funds

Watch more on iWantTFC MAYNILA — Kaliwa't kanang batikos ang inabot ng Department of Health sa mga kuwestiyonable nilang paggastos ng COVID-19 funds matapos lumabas ang report ng Commission on Audit .

Sinabi rin sa report na ang P5 bilyong pinagkagastusan ng DOH ay may procedural deficiencies katulad ng kulang sa dokumentasyon.Gumastos din ng P69 milyon ang DOH para sa mga kagamitan at supplies pero hindi nagamit o hindi agad nagamit ang mga ito. Pinagdudahan din ng COA ang P81 milyon na liquidations ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation mula sa interim reimbursement mechanism funds ng ahensiya.Nirekomenda ng COA kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque na paalalahanan ang kanyang mga opisyal na dapat mabilis at maayos ang paggamit ng pandemic funds.

"Dapat tuloy-tuloy din ang mga benepisyo ng health workers, hindi on and off. Dapat tuloy-tuloy pa rin hanggang sa kasalukuyan, habang may pandemya pa rin po. Kasi ang ating gobyerno parang every virus lang, may tinatakdang buwan lang naibibigay," ani Robert Mendoza, AHW president.
