MANILA--The number of overseas Filipinos who have died of COVID-19 is nearing 300, with 4 new fatalities reported on Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.
The agency reported 18 new coronavirus cases, raising the total of overseas infections among Filipinos to 2,522.Meanwhile, the number of Filipino migrants who recovered from COVID-19 is up by 14 to 878, the DFA added. DFA reports 18 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad with 14 new recoveries and 4 new deaths in the Americas and Europe pic.twitter.com/hE0FF8nmTzTo date, some 1,353 Filipino patients are undergoing treatment for COVID-19, broken down as follows by regions: 129 in the Asia-Pacific, 459 in Europe, 567 in the Middle East and Africa and 198 in the Americas.
In the Philippines, COVID-19 has so far infected 13,777 people, of whom 863 died while 3,177 recovered.
