The Department of Education on Friday, Dec. 10 pushed for additional benefits for public school teachers and poll workers who will serve in the May 2022 National and Local Elections.While DepEd expressed its appreciation to the Commission on Elections for granting adjustments in the honoraria and allowances for public school teachers and poll workers, it remained “steadfast in helping” the COMELEC to “secure a higher budget from Congress to provide additional benefits for our DepEd personnel.
