Defense chief Lorenzana says negative for COVID19 but will stay in self-quarantine

MANILA - Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana on Tuesday said he has tested negative for the coronavirus disease 2019 following exposure to patients with the illness.

In a statement sent to ABS-CBN News, Lorenzana said his test came back negative, but has been advised by his doctor to stay in self-quarantine until April 6. He also asked for prayers for the recovery of Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, who tested positive for the disease. Lorenzana went on self-quarantine after Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff Gen. Felimon Santos, Jr. tested positive for COVID-19.- with reports from Chiara Zambrano and Pia Gutierrez, ABS-CBN News
