Dagupan City mayor donates 8 months salary for COVID19 test kits

The mayor of Dagupan City, Pangasinan said Wednesday he donated 8 months worth of his salary to buy 1,000 units of coronavirus disease 2019 rapid anti-body test kits .

Lim said he that even though RATKs are not confirmatory, these would help local officials make more "strategic" decisions to contain the virus. "The Polymerase Chain Reaction tests, which detect the actual presence of the virus, is still the 'gold standard' in testing for COVID-19," he added.
