Over a week after the anti-corruption hotline of the Bureau of Customs was activated, 28 complaints have been received by the bureau but only three of them were reports on alleged corrupt practices.Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence Raniel Ramiro bared that a total of 28 complaints have been sent to the 8484 anti-corruption hotline recently established by the bureau to combat corrupt practices within the agency.

But he said that they won’t complain about receiving messages like that because they can always relay it to the agencies concerned. Aside from these details, the bureau’s intelligence group refused to divulge more information pending investigation. The 8484 text hotline number was recently launched by the bureau’s Intelligence Group in a bid to fight the lingering corruption in the Customs bureau.
