The local coronavirus transmission is not yet under control even as the government moves to gradually ease quarantine restrictions in many areas in the country, according to a government health official.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the public must not be complacent and instead continue to observe health precautions such as proper hygiene and physical distancing to contain the spread of the disease.

“Kahit na nagpapakita na po ng indikasyon na maganda, because case doubling time is humahaba na po nang ganoon, ang ating mga case doubling time at critical care utilization sa ibang lugar ay makikita po natin na talagang nakakapaghanda na at nakakaagapay – hindi pa rin ho tayo puwedeng maging complacent, kailangan pa rin tayong vigilant, kailangan pa rin gawin lahat ng minimum health standards so that we can prevent further infections,” she said.

Several other areas with moderate risk of coronavirus infection will be placed under general community quarantine until the end of the month. The government, on other hand, will lift the community quarantine in several low-risk areas by May 16.

Stating the obvious. Now what new actions do we do

We do not care any more. Life will go on....I lived though HonkKong flue. That was doring Wood Stock....Fear all you want.. .You can't hide from death..So live.... Now..

no shiiieeet

With minimum of 200 new cases/day, it's quite obvious that you aren't in control. We're still on the 1st wave of the virus & yet the govt is talking about a 2nd & 3rd wave of the virus onslaught. We must be stupid. Mass testing & aggressive contact tracing must be implemented.

Hangga’t walang mass testing, walang kontrol! Hangga’t walang mass testing, walang malinaw na datos na makukuha! Alam ba ng DOHgovph na mass testing lang ang under control? Praying for Philippines 🇵🇭 🙏

this is scary still.. not yet under control but we are now loosening up lockdown.

We KNOW! mass testing nga dapat da ba?
