An elderly man in Olongapo City has died of COVID-19, raising to 56 the city’s tally of fatalities as of Monday.

In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the 64-year-old patient was taken to a hospital here where he was declared dead on arrival.But Paulino did not indicate what health-related complications the man, a resident of Barangay New Cabalan, had suffered.

The city has also recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases that were traced to 10 of its 17 villages. These patients are aged 27-61.
