Covid19 cases in the Philippines as of September 17, 2021. Read the story:

THE Department of Health on Friday, September 17, 2021, reported more than 300 deaths from coronavirus disease 2019 , the highest in nearly a month, as well as over 20,000 new infections.

Based on the September 17 case bulletin, the DOH said there were 20,336 new Covid-19 cases, 310 additional deaths and 10,028 new recoveries. The new cases brought the cumulative case count to 2,324,475. The positivity rate stood at 26.6 percent among the 75,766 tested on September 15 nationwide. The additional deaths, which were the highest since the 398 on August 21, raised the Covid-19 death toll to 36,328. The case fatality rate remained at 1.56 percent.The number of active Covid-19 cases increased to 188,108, of which 0.6 percent were critical, 1.3 percent were severe, 2.49 percent were moderate, 87.6 percent were mild and 8.1 percent were asymptomatic.
