The DOST cited that its PCIEERD said the DTI-BOI have been working closely together to introduce research and development products and services to different industry players and potential investors. “This is the reason why we are starting our collaboration with DTI-BOI because they are giving much-needed support to these selected technologies, especially during the start of introducing their products and services to the market. It includes providing incentives to those technologies developed in the country and supported by DOST,” Paringit said.
He said to help startups grow, DTI-BOI can help in the funding requirements and provide them capital. Section 1, Rule 2, Chapter 1 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 11337 provides that the DOST, DTI and DICT shall constitute the Steering Committee for the implementation of the IRR and the management of the Philippine Startup Development Program.
