The printing of official ballots for the May 9 polls has started, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

In a message to reporters, Jimenez said LAV ballots would be manual ballots.The poll body earlier said government officials and employees, members of the military and police, as well as media practitioners are qualified for absentee voting in the upcoming elections.

Last week, the Comelec rejected petitions to reopen the filing of certificates of candidacy and to postpone the May polls to 2025.
