Citigroup assures credit card and bank account holders in the Philippines that all existing products 'will continue normally' and that its branches, ATMs, call centers and offices in the country 'will continue to operate as they do today'

The New York-based banking giant confirmed the move in a press release on Apr. 15, where it discussed"strategic actions" that will allow it to channel investments and resources to businesses with the greatest scale and growth potential.

"We would like to convey to all credit card, bank account holders and our customers in investments and loans, that all our existing products and services will continue normally and there will be no change in our high level of service," said Citi Philippines consumer business head Manoj Varma in a statement emailed to CNN Philippines on Monday.

Citi Philippines CEO and country officer Aftab Ahmed earlier said there is"no immediate" change in the bank's operations and impact on their colleagues.
