MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte met Monday with members of the Communist Party of China, headed by Chongqing party chief Chen Min'er.
Described by Malacañang as a "rising political star in China," Chen is the Communist Party secretary of Chongqing, an interior region in China.Chen and the other Chinese officials were at the Malacañang Palace on Monday for a courtesy visit on President Duterte. They also met with top officials of the Philippine leader's political party PDP-Laban.

PDP-Laban members who joined meanwhile were Senators Koko Pimentel, Bong Go, and Francis Tolentino, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, Cagayan Economic Zone Authority Secretary Raul Lambino, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Jose Eduardo Malaya III.
