The Caritas Philippines, the church’s humanitarian action arm, assured the public that it is ready to provide the necessary assistance to those affected by typhoon “Fabian.”

Caritas Philippines National Director Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo said that the social action centers of the different dioceses are now assessing the needs of those affected by the typhoon. “Ang lahat ng ating social action centers sa mga affected dioceses ay naka-red alert at handang-handa tayo kung kinakailangan nila ng tulong ,” said Bagaforo in church-run Radyo Veritas.

“We are in contact, yung aming humanitarian department ay 24/7 nag-contact kami simula pa noong tatlong araw na nakaraan sa lahat ng ating diocesan social action centers ,” he added.“Nawa’y iligtas Mo kami sa sakuna at paghihirap ng aming bayan sa pandemic, malakas na ulan at bagyo ,” said the prelate.
