MANILA - Top tourist destination Boracay island will accept travelers from all over the country beginning October 1, the Department of Tourism said Wednesday.

All tourists will be required to present a negative confirmatory test result for the coronavirus taken 48 to 72 hours prior to their travel, DOT secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said.

Airlines are advised to use the Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in Caticlan as the sole airport of entry to Boracay, she added. In June, the island opened to residents of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Bacolod and Iloilo. It closed last March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some 199 hotels and resorts with a total of 4,416 rooms were allowed to operate since June, Romulo-Puyat said.

Good luck sa COVID19, ano po?

bawal dumalaw sa kaanak n namatay pero pwede n gumala sa boracay? mga privilege bitch lng makikinabang jan

E ano ngayon? Hihinto ba ang Covid kung magpunta dyan

'From all over the country.' Di man lang makipagplastikan na from MGCQ areas lang kuno.

Ptp ♥️ Hello po. I do writing commissions po for those interested. Rates can still be fixed depende sa deal. Usto lang makahelp sa parents po in terms of providing my needs during online class. Dm me ✨

If I were you guys, I wouldn’t go to Boracay in times like this. There’s a sudden increase of local transmission cases in the province of Aklan. I don’t understand why they are opening Boracay now that the province has its local transmission of COVID-19.

let me pray for y'all

PCR Testing required? No thanks. All tourism related businesses to go bankrupt because you believe in the FRAUD and HOAX of all of this.

Ok, it's your decision.

Kung kailan everyday thousands ang nadadagdag SA Covid cases ng bansa tapos bubuksan agad SA tourist ang Boracay Juskoday, Sana inuna na Lang doon sa mga karatig Bayan na zero o mababa ang covid cases.

I do not think we are ready for this.

Good luck tlaga. Pa lakasan nlng ng immune system.
