The Basilica resumed doing Masses to the public after the regional Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases approved Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella’s request allowing more people to join in religious gatherings. “Human gyud sa hapit lima ka buwan nga wa kita kahimo ug Misa in public. Dako kaayo nato ning pasalamat karung adlawa nga, bisag sa new normal, dili usual nga atong kasinatian, adunay kabag-ohan, pero dako atong pasalamat kang Señor Sto. Niño nga nagkahiusa kita aning Santos nga Misa,” said Rev. Fr. Pacifico Nohara Jr. OSA, rector of the Basilica.“Lahi atong kasinatian karun. Dili lang limited ang mga tawo, pero nakalinya mura ba ug ni-attend ug flag ceremony ,” said Nohara.
“Basta naa ang presensya sa Ginoo, unya puno kita sa kabalaka sa atong kinabuhi, ayaw kahadlok ,” Nohara said.
