Sino CruzCEBU CITY–The amendments to the charter of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas will help protect the country’s economic and financial stability, said Elmore Capule, BSP senior assistant governor and general counsel.
Capule noted that there was a need to amend the original BSP charter, Republic Act 7653, which was passed in 1993, to enable Bangko Sentral to address the changes in the environment and the financial system.
