Angel Canino shows versatility in AVC Challenge Cup

MANILA, Philippines -- Angel Canino had a new position in the concluded Asian Volleyball Confederation 2024 Challenge Cup , but she embraced her role as she bagged the best opposite hitter award.With a historic bronze finish of Alas Pilipinas in AVC , the outside hitter converted to opposite spiker Canino showed her versatility inside the court.'I was shocked with the result that I became the best opposite hitter, knowing this AVC , I have a lot of opponents who were also good in my position.

'I am comfortable with any position that they will entrust with me, but what I can say right now is that whatever they will put me up into I will carry on and make way to do my best.'Angel Canino served as Alas Pilipinas' top scorer after scoring 17 points against Australia, 22 points versus India, and 16 points over Iran, but struggled against the world-ranked 30th Kazakhstan in the semis as she only made two points.
