MANILA -- When the creepy trailer for "The Heiress" dropped last week, one of the questions many fans had, other than whether Janella Salvador's character will survive her demon-possessed aunt, was when is it hitting cinemas? The release date was withheld for some reason.On Thursday, its director, Frasco Mortiz , revealed that "The Heiress" was submitted for consideration to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival .
If it had made the cut, then that meant a Christmas Day release date. Unfortunately, it did not, as moviegoers found out Thursday when the "Magic 8" were confirmed, hence its now November 27 premiere. The bad news: Hindi kami nakapasok sa MMFF.
