In a webinar series to commemorate the declaration of martial law 49 years ago, UP Diliman Prof. Ramon Guillermo said this may be done by having a clear direction in the content of teaching materials, like textbooks.

"Ang mas importante at mas mabisang programang pang-edukasyon na maisusulong sana ay pagtuturo ng mga kasalanan ng pamilyangsa konteksto ng mas malawakang proyekto ng pagtuturo ng pagpapahalaga sa karapatang pantao, mga kalayaang demokratiko at pagtanggi sa anumang pasistang diktatura,"[Translation: What's important and could be a much more effective educational program that could be pushed is to teach the sins of the Marcos family in the context of a much wider project of...

"Ang kalaban dito ay pera at korupsyon. Pera na ninakaw sa bayan na hindi na ibinalik. Ang kalaban ng makatotohanang kasaysayan ay ang pera na tila hindi maubos-ubos na ibinubuhos para malinis at mabura ang mga kasalanan ng mgafairytale," said the professor.

DaintyDhang I was in the P.I when Marcos was removed by the US. I also lived in Indonesia during the reign of Suharto. Corruption was rife in both countries and the same scenario with people refusing to accept the atrocities of both these monsters.

Let the truth come out!🙏

We should be dedicating a whole semester to martial law.

Marcos parin.

You mean to tell me it took 34 years for them to come to that realization?

Even during the time of the Holocaust, Nazis did not admit that there are human violations. The dictator will never admit it thus, people who believe that Martial Law is our golden years, are the people killing the truth behind the real story.

There is no revisioning of history. History have 2 faces, like for example Aguinaldo. In the past, you wont learn that he meted Bonifacio his death sentence. And wont learn that Gen Luna had Philippine treasures that was given to the Cojuancos

To stop the spread of disinformation, correct the written book of Philippine history and reflect the true account of Marcos dictatorship. Make sure that its taught in schools and universities, People Power is a great gift from the Filipinos to the world, be proud.

the yellows draw the book demonised marcoses that's their agenda and some UP 'scholars' are being used as tools...why should i listen to these 'scholars'? they listen joma...

FM once told my grandfather who was a city mayor during his presidency “keep the people hungry so you will be the one to feed them”. Disgusting! NeverAgain

Martial law led to “poor” Filipinos. No good came out of it. Never again!

yeah..talamak na sa youtube at facebook. Bastos pa ang mga bunganga, same sa idol nilang 👹 at sinasanto pa. 🙄😒

They went full blast with revisionism after burying the plunderer-dictator in the libingan ng mga bayani.

Yeah, it's about time you give the dead man credits for the good he has done for the nation on the first half of his presidency. Martial law era is very overrated. We focus too much on the tragedies in our history, no wonder we have this defeatist attitude as a nation. 😕

At bakit, ikayayaman ba yan ng bansa natin? Ikakatalino ba yan ng mga studyante? Makaka-compete ba tayo sa ibang bansa sa pag asenso? ... Kaloka, puro na lang MARCOS!

The Marcoses are coming back to power because nothing really have changed eversince they were exiled. If PH have greatly improved from the time two Aquinos have led the country, it would be a different story. But, after PNoy,looks like more pinoys just don’t believe them anymore

Yes, rather than give pressure to talk show hosts, look into the quality of education/curriculum w/c should tackle the real issue. Schools haven't taught enough & haven't t given enough importance to this piece of history. How will the new generation know the truth & remember?

AT SINONG SCHOLAR NAMAN YON?

Academians must correct all the books published by this 'DILAWANS' MarcosParin bbm2022 Marcosduterte neveragaindilawan BBM

Those who want to bury the truth are the same ones who give their consent to corruption and bad governance.

Wow, that pic of FM. He was so sick and his Ministry of Information kept lying to the public. I remember the O2 tanks in his bedroom and the hemodialysis machine in the Malacanan clinic.
