One of the infected policemen is not informed about his condition until a week after he tested positive for COVID-19.

On Friday, August 8, the Tarlac provincial government said a policeman residing in Capas town underwent the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test on July 30. The policeman was tested at the Green City Medical Center in the City of San Fernando after developing COVID-19 symptoms, the provincial government said on its Facebook page.

But although his positive result already came out the next day, July 31, he was not informed about his condition until August 7. The Tarlac provincial government said the 31-year-old policeman is assigned in Metro Manila and usually comes home to Capas on weekends. The cop went in self isolation on July 25, a day after he arrived at his residence, and is currently under quarantine.

On August 7, the provincial government of Tarlac reported that 8 police personnel “who all have history of exposure to a confirmed positive coworker” also tested positive for COVID-19.as of Saturday, August 8. The country’s coronavirus death toll is at 2,209 as of Saturday.
