Of the 17 local government units in the National Capital Region , five cities have achieved herd immunity against the coronavirus disease .

The latest report from San Juan Public Information Office as of Oct. 24 listed 176,573 total second doses administered, equivalent to 199.7 percent of the 70 percent target population goal and 139.75 percent of the total population. In total, 449,555 individuals have received at least one dose, equivalent to 64.6 percent of Las Pinas’ population and 92.2 percent of the target population.Las Pinas Facebook page / MANILA BULLETINThe Taguig City government announced on Oct. 22 that it achieved full vaccination of 100 percent of its target population.

Mayor Menchie Abalos told the Manila Bulletin on Oct. 25 that the city has indeed achieved herd immunity. “Ang magandang makikita natin dito, dahil marami ngang nabakunahan na, meron na tayong herd immunity, four percent lamang ng active cases natin ang nasa ospital ,” he said.

How can they claim herd immunity when the vaccinated population is 70% of the A group only and does not include the majority of 'Others' that do not fall under any of the 'A1 to A4' category? You're just day dreaming and falsely claiming 'herd' immunity.
