Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested five suspected drug pushers and seized P102,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Paco, Manila on Wednesday, Sept. 22.

PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region Director Christian Frivaldo identified the suspects as Ma. Sharon Luneta, Martin Malate, Raymond Luneta, Angelo Abo and Ronnie Cart Barwel. He added that Luneta was the subject of the buy-bust operation and maintainer of a drug den while Abo is included in the agency’s watchlist.

During the drug bust, PDEA agents seized several pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be 15 grams of shabu, P102,000, various drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money. The confiscated pieces of drug evidence were brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative analysis, while the arrested suspects are now temporarily detained at the PDEA Jail Facility and are facing charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”.
