At least 400 Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) frontline workers received P1,000 worth of groceries from private sectors.

“We are truly grateful to the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. and GT Foundation, Inc. for including our troops as beneficiaries of these ‘red bags’ and for recognizing the efforts of our AFP frontliners in our battle against the pandemic and other various forms of threats that our nation continues to confront,” Sobejana said in a statement.

The AFP said it also joined in providing assistance in distribution of the gift packs to underprivileged families in different areas nationwide. It underscored continuing partnership with private institutions “to show commitment and cooperation towards nation building and peace development.”
