4 more Filipinos abroad catch the Coronavirus

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday reported four new confirmed COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos in Asia and the Pacific and Europe.

In its latest tally of COVID-19 cases involving Filipino nationals abroad, the DFA also recorded no new fatality and no new recovery among the nationals in the major geographical regions worldwide.The total number of COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos since the outbreak started in February 2020 is now at 11,203.

Of the total, 3,140 are undergoing treatment, 7,248 have recovered and 815 died due to coronavirus infections. “The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic,” the foreign affairs office said in a statement.
