MANILA, Philippines — At least 294 areas in the National Capital Region are under granular lockdown, the Philippine National Police said Monday.
The small-scale lockdowns, aimed to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 while opening the economy, were recorded in 151 barangays in 10 cities as of Sunday.Of these, there were 193 houses, 14 residential building floors, 39 entire residential buildings, 30 streets, and 18 subdivisions. The PNP has deployed nearly 700 personnel and 933 force multipliers to enforce the lockdown in these areas.
