Ruru Madrid reveals he's been crushing on Bianca Umali since he was 11 years old

Talk about a childhood crush!

Ruru Madrid just revealed on "Updated with Nelson Canlas" that the first time he ever saw Bianca Umali was when he was in Grade 5.

"Hindi pa ako artista noon, so 'yong Tropang Potchi nagpunta sa school namin and then nakita ko si Bianca no'n kasi siguro si Bianca non mga 9 years old pa lang kasi grade 5 pa lang ako noon e. So mga 11 years old pa lang ako noon, gandang ganda na ako sa kaniya," he said.

However, it wasn't until Ruru became a Kapuso actor himself that he officially met her.

His first thought? She was too young.

While Ruru was also young at the time, he said he prefered ladies older than himself.

"Lahat ng mga nililigawan ko mas matanda sa akin. As in kung sino sino lahat halos ng artista makilala ko nililigawan ko gano'n lahat," he said.

It wasn't until Ruru and Bianca worked together in "Sunday Pinasaya" that he began to see her properly.

"Nagkausap kami doon. And then one night parang GMA party yata 'yon, I was there nakapagusap kami nagkaroon kami ng malalim na conversation. I didn't expect kasi lagi ko siyang nakikita bilang isang nakakabatang kapatid eh," he said.

"And then 'yun nga eventually no'ng nakilala ko na siya doon ko nakita kung gaano siya kalalim. And doon ko mas nakita 'yong mukha niya kung gaano siya kaganda," he added.

Ruru and Bianca have been the sweetest ever lately, making netizens kilig with their posts.

Last April, they went on a brunch date. Bianca posted a pic, and Ruru commented, "Always and forever."

On Bianca's birthday in March, Ruru made sure to send her love and wished his “moon” the “sweetest of birthdays.” —JCB, GMA News
