PH Red Cross vaccinates over 250K vs COVID-19


Through its vaccination sites and mobile clinics, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has so far vaccinated more than 250,000 individuals against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) nationwide.

“Let us continue to keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable,” Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon in a statement issued Monday, Sept. 28.

As of Sept. 23, PRC has vaccinated a total of 253,026 individuals against COVID-19 in its 21 “Bakuna Centers” and 16 “Bakuna Buses” across the country.

PRC Health Service Manager Mark Abrigo said that the 21 PRC “Bakuna Centers” have already vaccinated 191,689 individuals. A total of 61,337 individuals were also vaccinated in the PRC “Bakuna Buses.”

The PRC formally launched its COVID-19 vaccination drive last March in PRC PLMC Bakuna Center in Mandaluyong City following the arrival of AstraZeneca vaccines, with frontliners including PRC employees getting their first doses.

Last July, the PRC launched its “Bakuna Bus” initiative in partnership with UBE Express deploying it's first mobile vaccination clinic in Brgy Tanong, Marikina.

As of Sept. 16, there are PRC “Bakuna Centers” located in the National Capital Region (NCR), North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Its vaccination centers are located PRC PLMC Mandaluyong, PRC EDSA Boni, PRC Pasay Chapter, PRC Port Area, PRC Manila - KABAKA, PRC Manila -Letran, PRC QC - Ever Commonwealth, PRC Rizal - Arcovia Mall Pasig, and PRC Rizal - SanLo Mall Makati; PRC Tarlac City Walk Mall, PRC Bulacan -BSU, PRC Olongapo - Harbor Point, PRC Bataan - Penelco, PRC Ilocos Norte - Robinsons; PRC Batangas Xentro Mall, PRC Cavite - SM Bacoor, and PRC Cavite - VistaMall GenTri.

PRC also has vaccination centers in PRC NegrosOcc Gaisan, PRC Zamboanga City Chapter, PRC Iligan - Chung Hua, and PRC Davao City - Archdiocese Compound.
