Local sorbetero Papa Diddi’s has found a different but ingenious way to enjoy the classic brazo de mercedes – as creamy, sweet, hand-churned ice cream.

Papa Diddi’s best-selling, “all-time favorite” flavor makes use of their creamy, smooth carabao’s milk-based ice cream, mixed in with a yema custard filling and addictive meringue cake bits that are chewy and soft. The pint is topped with a drizzle of caramel syrup.

The Brazo de Mercedes flavor comes in four sizes: junior (P95), pint (P345), half gallon (P995), and gallon (P1,950). It’s available for pick up and delivery from Papa Diddi’s branches in Maginhawa, Eastwood, Poblacion, SM North EDSA, and SM South Mall – just place your orders on their website.

Another notable option to try out is Papa Diddi’s new September Flavor of the Month, the Banoffee, available exclusively for Pint Club subscribers. Papa Diddi’s combines native banana chunks and puree with their signature ice cream, mixed with sweet dulce de leche and crushed graham. It’s topped with the works: whipped cream, chocolate syrup, more dulce de leche, and chocolate shavings.

The Pint Club is a subscription-based ice cream service where subscribers get a surprise, limited edition ice cream pint delivered to them every month. For July, it was Papa Diddi’s exclusive silvanas ice cream flavor.
