Two suspected illegal drugs traders have been arrested in Calabanga, Camarines Sur during a buy-bust operation conducted by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Naga District Office (NBI-NADO).

NBI Officer-in-Charge Director Eric B. Distor identified the two suspects as Rommel Medroso and Leoner Aguilar who were arrested last Sept. 13 after selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to NBI poseur buyer.

“Recovered from the possession of the subjects were eleven (11) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, one (1) digital weighing scale, one (1) improvised plastic tooter, (1) lighter, (1) Gcash Card, and one (1) LTO (Land Transportation Office) Driver’s License,” the NBI said in a statement.

“Also, the arrested subjects were subjected to drug tests and their urine specimen yielded positive result for the presence of Methamphetamine,” it said.

With their arrest, the NBI said, the suspects were charged with violations of Section 5 (selling of illegal drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
