Filipino startup Kwik.Insure, founded in June 2020, announced new insurance offerings that cater to OFWs on Monday, June 21.

With the new offering, OFWs won’t have to come home to the Philippines to sign their insurance policies.

“Typically, OFWs need to come home to the Philippines before they can avail of insurance policies. With the partnership with Starr Insurance Philippines, OFWs simply have to log in to the Kwik.insure platform, browse through insurance products, and purchase according to their needs,” said the company in its press statement.

The new offering is made possible by its partnership with Starr Insurance Philippines.

Kwik.insure’s online markeplace for insurance products was launched in March 2020, starting with about 100 insurance products from 15 insurance providers including the likes of Sun Life and Malayan. Users can purchase policies instantly or request for a free insurance quotation on the site.

Payments can be made through debit and credit cards, e-wallets, and other payment channels that apply abroad.  

“Recognizing the demand from our modern-day heroes, we partnered with Starr Insurance Philippines to further democratize the access to insurance, especially for our OFWs,” Kwik.insure founder and CEO Hamilton Angluben said.
