Sunday afternoon, according to a report from the local police.Their younger brother, their mother and 2 others were wounded and were rushed to the hospital.

The victims’ relatives and residents in the area said the victims were just inside their house when the blast happened. “May apat na mortar na pumutok dito sa malapit sa palengke ng Barangay Kitango," said Kitango Chairman Mando Tambungalan.The father of the victims meanwhile blamed the military for the blast.Lt. Col. Edgardo Vilchez, 6th Infantry Division spokesperson, said they are also coordinating with the police with regards to the investigation.

“We have no operating troops in the area when the incident happened as we respect the Ramadan. There is an existing rido in the area wherein there were reported casualties. The ISIS-Inspired terrorist leaders were sighted in the place of incident and were likewise reported laying IEDs as their perimeter defense when the explosion happened," Vilchez said.
