BACOLOD CITY—At least 2,761 people were apprehended from June 1 to 13 for violating the COVID-19 health protocols in this city.
P/Lt. Col. Lester Leada, head of the Operations Management Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office , said 1,044 were caught not wearing face masks, while 737 for not wearing face shields.Leada clarified that the violators were not taken into custody but were given citation tickets and warned not to commit any more violations.
Violators from Bacolod were slapped with a fine of P200 each, while those from other towns have to pay P300.
