House members led by outgoing Pangasinan 2nd district Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil assured Filipino war veterans Tuesday that members of the upcoming 18th Congress would continue to deliver on their needs.

Heroes of Pangasinan — Pangasinan 2nd District Representative Leopoldo Bataoil tries to cheer up the elderly and somehow weary World War II Pangasinan veterans attending the commemoration of the 73rd Lingayen Gulf Landings of the Allied Forces and 11th Pangasinan Veterans’ Day at the Pangasinan Veterans Memorial Park in Lingayen.

“We have laid down several agenda for the next Congress which the ComSec will turn over to the next committee once it is constituted,” said Bataoil, a retired Philippine National Police director and member of Philippine Military Academy “Magilas” Class of 1976. “Rest assured sir that we will continue to support the agenda of PVAO. It’s just unfortunate that I wasn’t able to make it in the Senate, but the Magdalo Party-List was able to secure one seat for the 18th Congress. Therefore, your legislative agenda will be part of the legislative agenda of Magdalo Party-List in the 18th Congress,” Alejano said, who ran as part of the “Otso Diretso” Senate slate.
