DAVAO CITY – Twenty-two provinces in Mindanao are now under Alert Level 3 after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases upgraded the classification of 11 more Mindanao provinces, from January 21 to 31.
These are Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga Sibugay in Zamboanga Peninsula, Lanao del Norte in Northern Mindanao, Davao de Oro and Davao Oriental in the Davao Region, North Cotabato, Sarangani, and Sultan Kudarat in Soccsksargen, Surigao del Norte in Caraga, and Basilan and Maguindanao in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao.
Five Mindanao provinces, namely Camiguin, Davao Occidental, Dinagat Islands, Sulu, and Tawi-tawi remain under Alert Level 2.
