The South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dennis Thamsanga, met with the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, in Abuja on Tuesday, to finalise the plans.Speaking during the meeting aimed at implementing the decisions reached at the 9th session of the Nigeria/South Africa Bi-National Commission, the minister said Nigeria was committed to working with the government of South Africa in resolving all internal security issues in the country.
“We should be able to agree on many areas after today’s meeting because we know the partnership will be beneficial to Nigeria,” Dingyadi stated. While acknowledging the misunderstanding between the two countries as a result of the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, the minister said, “as big brothers, we have resolved our differences”.
He added that all security issues concerning Nigerian nationals in South Africa had been sorted out “and we will continue to work together.” The Nigeria/South Africa relationship started in 1996 when the Nigeria/South Africa Joint Commission was established.

That won't be an easy one.
Isn't this ridiculous? The same Nigeria that has almost been totally overrun by criminals is now talking about improving security elsewhere? Charity they say begins at home.
