President Muhammadu Buhari with South African Special Envoy to Nigeria, Mr Jeff Radebe, at the State House in Abuja on September 16, 2019.President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to profuse apologies from South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
According to a statement by his media adviser, Mr Femi Adesina, President Buhari described the attacks on Nigerians and other victims as “very unfortunate.”Receiving South Africa’s Special Envoy, Mr Jeff Radebe, on Monday at the Presidential Villa, the Nigerian leader extended appreciation to Ramaphosa “for coming to explain to us what happened in South Africa recently, leading to killing and displacement of foreigners.
“I was a junior officer to General Murtala Muhammad, and General Olusegun Obasanjo . They were not operating in a democracy, but they got Nigerians to support them in the bid to see a free South Africa.” “During my last visit to South Africa with the late President Robert Mugabe, it was very emotional, as Mugabe spoke about Nigeria’s contribution to free South Africa,” he added.
Mad man
His the one that is unfortunate to rule us rubbish
Is this the first time?
Xenophobic act: stage by them
Why is our government like this after the pains lost and the killing of our blood their in south Africa hmmm is very well
this man thinks like a 🐮
Cyril has zero power or influence over the people of SA. The angst & protests will continue. Cyril is a puppet & SAfricans are very much aware of that. Unlike the rest of Africa, in SA, a president does not sway people or inform their agency. Illegal migrants must still leave SA
Buhari is a cow not a president, someone that is killing and destroying your people will be assisted to fight crime while you, yourself can't defend the terrorist groups you set in your own country I don't know how this goat reasons sometimes, Godforbide illiteracy is a disease
My president's response is equally unfortunate.
In this matter buhari is not talking on behalf of we Nigerians...... So far so good apologies not granted Gbam
Apology is coming rather late, Nigerians in South Africa who lost properties should be compensated, if South Africa refuses, issue should be taken to the ICJ
Unfortunate my black ass, because you didn't loss anyone close to you in SA that's why you are taking this mumu steps. You should be talking of to sue there government and them paying every penny all Nigerians in SA have lost not this rubbish am reading.
:Sir!Pledging for a'solidified Nig-S/Africa,ties'?Then it's a 'Crank-sided' Compromise!We wish d case shd be referred tothe(ICJ)
Apologising is not enough, he should swear in mandala's grave that xenophobic will never happen again
Buhari is such a huge mistake he the nation. Because Ramaphosa was booed by his own people during function he received wisdom that he should apologise. If it was truly from his heart, should it have taken this long? Is he not aware of Nigerians being flown back? What a puke!!!!
🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Just imaging, apology what are they going to do to the lives and property they destroyed? nothing like negotiations he just accept apology just like that, ooh my God we don't even have a president
Absurdities do not worth a minute of my time. ' No matter the dept of the river,it can never swallow the calabash'.Even before the apology, our government has promised to assist them in fighting crime! We all know the interpretation.'Ana ara onye ogbu,o na akanye na aja'
Only apology ? Wish his son was involved in the attack
What of those who are dead?
So easy
Lies lies How do u want me to believe dis 'No Nigerian casualties'
Hmmmmm unbelievable
Smh.
What is really unfortunate about this is that we got an appology in place of the many lives that were lost and hope of being better gone forever
You can imagine
Crazy!!
He is the one who is unfornate😤
This are all for the cameras, the real action is when the South African authorities put a stop to the xenophobic section of their population
