A former senator who represented Kaduna Central in the Senate, Shehu Sani, said he taught the Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe how to live in prison should he be prosecuted over his pro-Biafra activism.
He disclosed this on his Facebook page on Wednesday where he shared a throwback photo of himself discussing with Abaribe on the floor of the Red Chamber.“My good friend Senator Abaribe was trying to convert my citizenship to Biafra while I used to give him lectures on how to live in prison when they come for him, using my years of experience in Kiri Kiri, Port Harcourt, and Aba Prisons in the 90s,” he wrote.
On Friday, June 22, 2018, Abaribe was arrested by the Department of State Services at his barbershop located at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja for his alleged links with the Indigenous People Of Biafra being one of the sureties to the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
