Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, has invited 35 players to camp ahead of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations final qualifying clash against Ivory Coast next month.

The Falcons and the Lady Elephants will face off over two legs for one slot at the AWCON in Morocco in next July. The first of the two clashes will take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on February 18, with the return fixture at the Stade Robert Champroux in Abidjan February 23. For the all-important clash, Waldrum has left no stone unturned as he invited 35 players who are expected to resume camp on February 1.

Captain Asisat Oshola is back from her lengthy injury and has been included in the squad. Also, England-based Ashleigh Plumptre, Toni Payne, Michelle Alozie, Yetunde Aluko, Esther Okoronkwo, Vivian Ikechukwu and Gift Monday, who were all part of the team’s nine-day training camp in November 2021 were also handed call-ups.
