Barely five days after the Nigerian Railway Corporation , announced the arrest of two persons suspected of vandalising rail tracks along the Kaduna-Zaria rail line, the corporation has raised the alarm over the vandalism of the newly fixed Itakpe-Warri rail line by yet-to-be identified persons, who cut off several sections of the track.

The Managing Director/CEO, the NRC, Mr. Fidet Okhiria, confirmed the development to journalists yesterday The NRC boss, while confirming the incident, said the train was still being operated as there was an alternative.“But we are still in operation because we have an alternative” He had also stated that the corporation had deployed patrol teams along the rail line following the repeated vandalism of the rail tracks.

This is the worse mistake we can encourage in our region. Destroying developmental infrastructure is the greatest destruction a people can bring to themselves.

The greatest disservice we are doing to ourselves as a people is ceding common sense to peddled narratives. The elite class stand naked as very shallow or insincere analysts of events. They are greedy, self serving people who don’t mind burning the house down to have their way

We are regaled with nepotism in appointments and it has become reality. A fact check may suggest otherwise even in the security architecture they like to cite. The narratives are cherry picked and can’t withstand basic scrutiny. But etched bias blocks scrutiny.

The answer is not fargeteched on my view. They are interest groups, political, business and criminal and their interests are converged. Nigerians need to regain their abilities to reason critically and factually as these have been tossed to the wind as these groups anticipated.

saboteurs are roaming large. The strategy is clear. Create fear, divide the people into exploitable echo chambers, dilute anything that can be pointed to as an achievement, & magnify problems, especially in the media. And they are doing a good job of it. We should ask why?

What do you mean by 'Unknown'? They've been arrested so they are known. The energy used in doing the damage could have made them rich if used on legal fruitful activities.

It's not unknown persons...its PDP

And they will end up blaming the govt saying lack of job caused it. How can people be this wicked? Vandalizing what you are to benefit from. Ignorance at it peak

Unknown Persons and the Unknown Gunmen in an Unknown Country.

Govt will now use billions to repair it. What a wicked country is this? May be na these kidnappers since many people now prefer to use rail to bypass those dangerous areas.

A frustrated people! Sad but this will create more frustration!

The hearts of men.. 🤔, wickedness.

This is the most horrible, wicked inhuman crime i can think of the culprits should be shot at the point of interception how can someone be so heartless putting lives of hundreds of people on board train at risk government should use electronic rail tracker to checkmate this

This is wickedness!

Unknown Persons,Unknown Gunmen,Unknown Soldiers but there all are Nigerians. Criminals,Saboteurs or Enemies of the State would have carried more weight as a headline.
